Topic: Our Most Vulnerable Student Populations: A Panel Discussion
Our next general body meeting will be December 14 at The Cooper Union, Great Hall. Breakfast starts at 9:00AM and our meeting starts at 10:00AM. In order to give ample time for the panel discussion, we will conclude at 12:30.
The president of The Cooper Union, Laura Sparks, will welcome us and provide a few remarks.
This month we will have a panel discussion focused on supporting vulnerable populations. Joining the panel:
Maria Monica Andia, Supervisor of College Services: The Door-A Center for Alternatives will highlight issues within the LGBQT community.
Rakeesha Glover, MPA, Bridge to College Coordinator: The Door-A Center for Alternatives who will discuss issues related to Homeless Youth
Carlos Quintana, Director of College Access: Prisoner Reentry Institute, John Jay College will discuss Court Involved/Formerly Incarcerated Youth
Sonia Gonzalez from the Administration for Children Services will discuss Youth in Foster Care.
Meylin Andares will facilitate this discussion and there will be time for Q & A.
